Nina Sloan Borisovich

The subjects of my paintings are nature scenes, flowers and sometimes people. I paint mostly in impressionistic style. For me, art starts where paintings provoke emotions, thoughts and create personal connections.

I have developed a palette knife technique which makes my paintings look like a mosaic.

I like to show children and anybody who wants to know how I paint with a painting  knife.  I hope I will inspire somebody to start painting!

Artist Bio

Nina was born and lived most of her life in Ukraine, but since 2001 her home is in Boise. Her story of becoming an artist is a story of American Dream. She started painting in oil while she still  was working as a  full -time high school teacher, a job that she loved  passionately.

She feels fortunate that her retirement is another meaningful and fulfilling chapter  of her life  filled  with  learning, artistic challenges,  and meeting  interesting people. Nina hopes to  help  people  explore and find their  creative  side at any age.
