| I draw with melted wax on white silk. Outlining the shapes with wax and filling them in with color reminds me of my childhood coloring books. Working on a project gives me a sense of well being, and I find the waxing process hypnotic. I delight in the layers of color, as they build upon each other. I feel surprise and excitement when I pull work from a dye bath. I just keep painting and exploring colors, shapes and patterns. |
