I am an artist who believes that each individual artist sees things that no one else sees in quite the same way. The individual artist shares a personal vision in their art and the viewer is then able to see something through someone else’s eyes. All of this “conversation” between the artist and the viewer is what art is about to me. It enriches everyone’s life in some way.
Materials used to create my art include transparent watercolor, watercolor paper, watercolor pencils, watercolor crayons and sometimes opaque watercolor. My process is usually direct painting on dry or wet paper depending on what effect I want to create.
I received a B.A. degree in Art from Idaho State University in 1970 and later went back to get my teacher’s certificate in Art Education and Library Science.
I have achieved the “Distinguished Merit Member” status in the Idaho Watercolor Society, having won awards in 3 or more annual exhibitions.
I have regularly been showing in the IWS Rotunda Show and the annual IWS Experimental Show and in the 4 shows per year held by the Treasure Valley Artists Association.
